Counselling, Therapy, and Case Management
Supporting recovery from trauma and psychological injury across private and insurance-based systems
PA MacDonald Consulting Inc. provides counselling, therapy, and case management services for individuals experiencing trauma, psychological injury, and complex life challenges. Services are designed to support individuals whose needs extend beyond traditional counselling, particularly those navigating injury, disability, and system-related barriers to recovery. The practice provides evidence-based therapeutic care, including EMDR, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and somatic approaches, to support trauma processing, emotional regulation, and recovery following injury or distress.
In addition to therapy, PA MacDonald Consulting Inc. offers case management and coordination services for individuals with complex needs. This includes working with insurers, rehabilitation teams, and service providers to support recovery within systems such as Workers’ Compensation, disability insurance, Veterans Affairs, and motor vehicle accident (MVA) claims. Services are informed by extensive experience in rehabilitation counselling, Veterans Affairs case management, and disability support within government and interdisciplinary care settings. This allows for a structured approach that integrates clinical care with practical support, helping individuals navigate systems, access appropriate resources, and move forward in their recovery.
Complementary to direct client services, the practice provides consulting support related to trauma, psychological injury, and service delivery within complex systems. This includes research-informed insight, system navigation expertise, and policy-informed recommendations based on experience engaging with healthcare, insurance, and government environments.
